A veritable orgasm for your eyes and ears. A transcendent music-driven, genre mash-up that weaves together every single emotion you can think of into the most entertaining narrative possible. A gorgeous, cinematic tapestry that reworks age-old vampire tropes into a fresh, powerful, thoughtful, and deliciously hot-blooded period saga rooted in the specifics of Black history. And also that 4K UHD disc is genuinely one of the most beautiful things the human race has ever created. Fucking gorgeous. Those IMAX sequences are purely gifts from god. Genuinely started taking pictures of the screen like it was a fucking concert. A miracle that’ll never be forgotten.
