this is so unbelievably good. Paul Thomas Anderson has blown me away once again. Barry is such a good and relatable character. i nearly cried at times, this was just so beautiful. left me with a sense of hope that i haven't gotten since, i don't know when. Adam Sandler does an incredible job portraying Barry, really like when the comedy actors step out of their kind of main type of roles and do something more serious. Philip Seymour Hoffman is also really good in in this even though he doesn't have a lot of screen time. i really liked the soundtrack, kind of similar to One Battle after Another with the kinda, "plucky" music i guess? i really liked the color mix shots, thought they were beautiful. and i really enjoyed the camera work. i really need to get around to PTA's other films 'cause man, this and OBAA were so so good. new top 4 favorite. wow wow wow
