Bugonia
ABSOLUTE CINEMA
I have been eagerly waiting for this film, since the first day it was announced, as a massive Yorgos fan and it totally didn’t disappoint me. Firstly, I wanna talk about the on point use of colours in the film. As a non fan of the yellow hues in general, the visuals of Bugonia made me love them. There is a very special visual vibe all over the movie, which I would characterise as a ‘visual orgasm’. What I love about it, is the cohesiveness, like in every Yorgos film. The story had me completely interested for the duration of the film, and the acting was, as expected, insane. Bugonia is a movie that makes you think ‘who is really the bad guy here ?’, but what we know is that it’s not Don, a.k.a. the only likeable character in the plot. The ending was hysterical, something that had me smiling constantly from excitement. I DO A LOVE A HYSTERICAL HOPELESS ENDING! The final shots were incredible. LET ANIMALS RULE!!
