Rope

Amazing acting by the two leads to convey the overconfident and anxious characters whose weaknesses together blow the whole operation they had going. As always I loved James Stewart’s performance as their old housemaster, playing the game of cat and mouse about how much he knows. The film looks like a one shot but they disguised cuts by zooming into an actors back then zooming out which was very noticeable and jarring for me. I also kind of wish we were given a reason as to why Brandon thought that David was lesser but I guess that wasn’t really the point of the movie so I’m not going to knock it too much. Overall great film.
