Sinners

Holy shit, this hits absolutely different in the theater. The first time I watched this movie was on my iPad and well… it doesn’t compare the slightest to the big screen. Although I did already love it back then, this time I could literally feel everything to the bone. It’s seriously brilliantly done how the first half of this has some of the best pictures and frames of the last year and is filled with amazing cinematography.  Then it switches dramatically to a first ridiculous darker vampire lore. With this rewatch I could catch details I hadn’t noticed before and I appreciated the whole musical aspect of it so much more.  This absolutely deserves to be the most nominated movie at the Oscar’s this year and I can’t stop thinking about it.
