I guess this is where my 2026 Star Wars rewatch starts and what can I say..? This franchise and this movie specifically has actually changed my life a few years back and the fact that I’m still out here rewatching it every year shows you how much it still means to me. Just diving back into this world brings up memories like listening to the soundtrack while me and my best friend, at the time, were playing minecraft everyday or how I celebrated an entire Star Wars birthday party, playing dress-up in the costumes, having a Death Star cake and sacrificing all the presents I could’ve gotten for the LEGO Death Star. I still have it here, sitting on my shelf and now I’m ready to enter this nostalgic phase that I’ve been entering every year again. The difference is: I have letterboxd now, so as I go, I’m gonna be ranking the movies I watch in my new star wars ranking.
