Perfect Days
In the last 9 months I’ve had: a heart procedure, a wombo-combo of food poisoning and heat exhaustion at the same time, panic attacks returning after being dormant for almost a decade, a very recent weeklong hospital stay where none of my friends of 15 years came to check-in and now I’m anxiously going though another seemingly endless series of medical examinations and tests. I’ve just been hopelessly head down preemptively waiting for the next domino to fall. Regardless of whatever verbiage the doctors use or the outcome of it all, I don’t need to ‘fix’ my life — just notice it and remain grateful, especially for the small things.
