Parasite
It simply is the greatest and most nuanced depiction of economic inequity ever made, the difference in classes, wealth, their behaviour is simply done like no other, the sheer accuracy and relevancy of parasite keeps just growing and growing and each passing day it starts to feel more like a documentary in terms of how relevant it is rather than a film.
We see Ki-taeks family come up with this plan and slowly nestle themselves into this home out of sheer desperation and cling onto it(like a parasite) and slowly make it their own, small lies, manipulation that crack and destroy everything from within until the family succeeds and they are willing to do everything because they feel forced(even though its still not right) and you see this happening while families who live higher up(literally and figuratively) indulge on everything like pigs, hire chauffeurs, tutors and chefs while people cannot get, showers and sleep in a basketball court and that difference is perfectly done.
The performances are also just unbelievable and how Song Kang-Ho didnt run away with the oscar blows my mind.
But there is one scene that stands out like no other: the peach fuzz scene and OMG it quite literally is the greatest montage ever made, the slow explanation, the purchasing with the peaches to Kim Ki-Taek practising his lines to the peach fuzz spray on the housekeeper to the "bloody" napkin, its perfect and it all culminates into a bombastic moment where Kim takes the napkin and Yeon-kyo passes out and it just is the cherry on top(the music during this sequence is unbelievable) and it is utter perfection.
It looks unbelievable too and everything just works, i cannot find a single flaw, how minute it might be and it just flies by, 120 minutes gone in a flash.
Its not the best film of 2019 or the decade or anything, its one of the best movies ever made.
Perfect
