Batman Forever
Was gonna call this a big guilty pleasure but honestly don’t really feel all that guilty, it’s just a pleasure. The campiness was fitting and Val Kilmer as Bruce Wayne was great. It’s very strange how all of these movies have had a completely different take on Gotham City. I find them progressively getting better the more they lean into the silliness and this was definitely my favourite representation of the city so far. The visuals are genuinely insane, even outside of the production design all of the costumes were a massive improvement over both the Burton films. Can definitely see why so many people seem to hate this though, Nicole Kidman’s character feels straight out of a sexploitation movie and the rubber nipples… THAT BEING SAID I will always prefer silly batman over brooding batman!
