Barry Lyndon

ABSOLUTE CINEMA. ABSOLUTE VIDEO PRODUCTION. Probably one of the best looking movies ever made. The colors of this movie were absolutely beautiful. The set pieces and the direction were among the best I have ever seen. I was stunned by the nature in nearly every shot. It all looked so beautiful and also very realistic. I couldn’t believe that someone made this in 1975, absolutely crazy. The costume design was incredible. In general, every second I watched this movie, I was stunned by how good it looked. Also, the music was absolutely incredible. The way every character was played was really great as well. And the way every man hated each other was portrayed really well. In general, I liked all the dialogue between the male characters; it was written and performed really well. The only negative point for me is the story. The story itself was amazing, but the pacing and the storytelling were a bit slow for me. You could really feel that, as the three hours does drag at times especially the beginning and the end don’t come off as strong. But the middle part was perfect. Also, the movie didn’t really hit me emotionally or personally, which brings it down a bit for me. But all in all, absolutely amazing, and as I said, one of the best looking movies I have ever watched. Absolutely beautiful
