Crying crying crying.....
I watched Hook as a child years ago and had really great memories of it. That’s why I rewatched it, and I thought it was going to be a great movie, but wow, wow, wow.
Such a beautiful movie in so many aspects.
Where do I start?
The story is absolutely amazing.
It’s a great story about growing up, progressing in life, and still keeping your inner child.
Also responsibility and the importance of family.
Believing!
I mean u can interpret so many things into the story, and it works on so many levels.
The acting by Robin Williams is so incredible here (of course, everyone else too).
The music is just so magical and beautiful.
And I think the look of this movie is just perfect.
I really think what makes this movie so great is that it works on two layers. It’s of course a kids’ movie, so there’s a lot of humor, a simple story on the surface, some action, and clear good and bad characters. But if you watch this movie as an adult, you can see so much more what’s behind the story and everything else.
Also the film is both an adventure movie and an emotionally powerful story at the same time.
And I think this movie does that brilliantly.
Also, at the end, the movie gets so emotional, it had me crying for like 15 minutes.
