It
Getting to my yearly rewatch early this year.
After Welcome to Derry I knew I had to revisit my kids and Marge… no ADN test needed that baby is yours!!
I’ve had many people ask me what’s my comfort film and they’re always so confused when I say this but truly nothing gets me like a childhood friend group finding strength in each other to over come their fears. I could watch this on a loop and always find something new to latch onto.
After reading the book I find Andy’s very obvious favoritism to some Losers disappointing but honestly necessary, it’s a monster of a source material and I would always choose a tight story than a convoluted one, still Stan, Mike and Ben I’m so sorry.
The main difference between this and Welcome to Derry is how much I honestly care about every single Loser here, no matter how much screen time they got, I would lay down my life for any of them.
I’ll always remember watching this with one of my best friends and we bonded so hard over this for seemingly no reason, we’re not as close anymore but, much like the Losers, I know we will always be there for each other when the time comes.
Eddie, Richie and Beverly I’m afraid I won’t be able to love my future kids as much as I do you.
One pointer, I would’ve liked to hear “I bet my fur”, “Eds” “Don’t call me that!” , and “Eddie Spaghetti” but what you gonna do.
*Now and then when I see it’s face*
*It takes me away to that special place *
And if I stay too long I’d probably break down and cry
