WHY WAS THIS NOT MY FIRST KUROSAWA! This may have been the most gripping story I’ve ever had the pleasure of witnessing. The characters, the cinematography, the writing, the acting, the production design, oh my god it was perfect. It was PERFECT. I’m in utter disbelief at his good this movie is. Maybe I should quit this whole filmmaking thing it was a stupid idea to begin with.
