Climax

WOW. I have seen a few masterpieces before but i have NEVER watched one that felt tailored exactly to me. Climax is a horrific, visceral, tormenting experience that showcases some of the most impressive one-take performances I've ever seen. The dance aspect of this movie felt beautifully freeing and sets the tone for the type of characters this movie would be dealing with. The changes of filming style between acts excels at capturing the descent into madness. For instance, the calmness and security of the stable camera in the first act in contrast to the raw movements and claustrophobic upside down shots of the third act. This is a truly inspirational piece that completely changed my perspective of film.
