Creep 2

Mommy needs her juice! Where’s mommy’s juice? Mommy is thirsty! Oh yes! UNHINGED. I’m not sure whether I prefer the original or this sequel. Both take such different approaches to this killer with the original being completely his movie and going by his rules while in this one both he and his videographer are on more equal footing. I really appreciate how, now that we know what Aaron does, we can dive further into why he does it and more of his history (even if we can’t decipher what’s true and what’s not). And Desiree Akhavan is truly a force to be reckoned with. Although we first see her character as the ‘cool girl’ who isn’t scared of her situation we see her reassess it as time goes on and she tries to figure out how to get what she wants without getting hurt.  It’s smart, funny, tense, and uncomfortable. Everything you loved from the first one but with a different enough premise that you don’t feel like you’re watching the same movie over again. If you liked the first one you HAVE to see this! halloween watchlist 2021 #3
