A movie carried by set design fr because everything else was just kinda fine. It wasn't particularly scary, a decent amount of tension at times, but really it was just intriguing to see the visuals they could come up with. Story was fairly bland. The acting was solid and the score was able to underpin the eerie atmosphere but nothing was overly fear inducing, which isn't an issue necessarily but I feel it was disappointing. Really I just loved seeing all the unique and interesting sets which really shined and are what created almost all of the films intrigue. The expansion on this concept works well enough but it does feel as if they never fully fleshed out the over arching story that keeps you wanting more. I thought the found footage section was arguably the most "scary" but I don't think it would have been good had it been the entire film. That wouldn't have given the film enough space to fully explore the idea visually which is more important imo. I could see more films being made to expand this more but I'd need to see some more thought put behind its narrative. Solid directorial debut though with a great eye for the visuals.

I gotta thank pipkin pippa for putting me on game to this because I was not likely to see this but it was actually so good. It really was just knives out but with sheep lol very wholesome, so much heart, and a genuinely fun mystery. Super enjoyable and definitely worth the watch.

This was unsettling as fuck I can't lie genuinely one of the better horror films in terms of actually producing earned fear. Horror once again shining as a genre where creative driven film making still happens. And the performances rlly carry here they are fucking awesome. Curry Barker joins the growing list of "guys who made sketch comedy but now are insanely good horror directors" lmao his vision behind the camera to instill tension in every shot is incredible. A mesmerizing and haunting score only adds to the creepiness to keep your heart pounding. I'm not particularly the biggest horror fan but a good film is a good film and this is worth watching. Your blood pressure will spike from watching this in the best way and supporting this kind of creative work is much needed to hopefully get more like it made moving forward.
