Marty Supreme
Holy that was good. That was damn cinema. Electric, pulse racing, edge of your seat thrills and it's a movie about ping pong. This is why you love film and Timmy has every right to be hyping this movie and himself up.
Every scene is utterly bombastic, you think you might finally have gotten a sense of what will happen next and then it takes your idea and chucks a grenade at it. The pace is relentless and it feels like a fever dream at times. You just can't believe how it's still going. And at the center of it all is Chalamet's Marty, this will be a generational character along the likes of the Jordan Belfort, Patrick Bateman, etc he is that magnetic. Just give the kid his awards honestly.
The other performances are all great as well along with the production. The set design and cinematography is so lively. Playing off the concept of being a "sports movie" is so perfect in how it captures these high intensity, high pressure sequences it leaves you stunlocked before it even gives you time to hit you again.
The end of the film leaves you with such an indescribable feeling that only an incredible movie can produce. Separate from the world you're in this moment just soaking in every second another scene is playing. Special film man, take everyone you know to see it.
