Before Midnight
mm. I started rewatching the first one with my parents today and remembered I never got around to finishing this trilogy. I've been putting off watching this one for a while and rightfully so because I knew what to expect.
there's a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes but im not crying yet.
the reason I love these films is the reason I hate them; they're real. they're people talking. they're having the same conversations I am (esp the whole internet becoming sentient conversation, very relevant today). but it aches to be understood through the screen like that, where even they don't get a fairytale ending. perhaps it's my fault for wanting it to be idealistic and for this to be an escape. there is something comforting in the familiar though, I'll say that much.
