Sentimental Value

broke my heart into many pieces, especially with the song at the end (not mentioning so I don't spoil). it's truly so simple yet so deep, something I truly appreciate in a world that promotes overconsumption and quantity over quality. thats sentimentality. I found it to be an ode to eldest daughters who protect, and an ode to younger daughters who thanks to that protection have the privilege to try to heal the cycle of pain. really reminded me of a real pain, and in a somehow v relevant way, encanto
