Beautiful Boy
after rewatching this movie it feels so wrong to try and make a silly little review about how “the boy really is beautiful” or say something stupid while referencing the office. because it's so much more!! i read beautiful boy & tweak and for some reason i fell in love with their stories i genuinely have SO much love for david and nic sheff and this movie ohhhhh my gosh!!!!! the raw experience of addiction and how it doesn't limit to a certain demographic and how ugly it is and how fast it can change someone's life, how it can happen to literally anyone. timothee chalamets acting in this is just so phenomenallllll his deception of anger and grief mixed into one and seeing steve carell play such a poignant father is just so real? and so needed? and amazing? this is a movie that just makes you feeeeeeeel and deserves so much love and more. ¡ literally do not care if this is such a basic thing for people to like because there are numerous reasons as to why this film is so good??? the movie itself represented all stages of grief for a father losing his son to addiction? and f u to all the freaks saying this movie is a repetition of nic using, getting sick, trying to get sober, relapsing, and fights with his father. because like??? thats the reality of addicts and family members of addicts? like??? it’s the cyclical nature of addiction? david sheff the man that you are i LOVE u and this movie and ur book and tweak omg i loved it all thank u thank u thank u sorry abt my rant i just love it 😊
