Blow Out
Holy shit….It's been so long since I had a movie that made me sit there speechless as the entire credits ran. Firstly, I cannot believe that this movie is not considered Brian de Palma's masterpiece, because if you say any other movie but Blow Out, I hate to break it to you, you are possibly the dumbest person to have ever walked the Earth. Now going into this film, I already knew that this movie was famous for its split diopter shots, but I now see why people GEEK out about them because those were absolutely astounding. This was just an absolute work of art in terms of cinematography, like I legitimately feel like my eyes have just been blessed. Moving on to the story itself, this was just an amazingly pieced together mystery thriller that had me at the edge of my seat. I feel like I haven't felt my heart beat this hard and my blood pumping over a film like this in a long time. Also, this is easily John Travolta's best performance, argue with a wall. And if you give me some bullshit like Pulp Fiction, I think I will actually shoot you.
