Knives Out
I was having one of those “I'm feeling really fucking sad and I don't know why” type days, so naturally I decided to put on my comfort movie. I have to say that this is probably in my top two most brilliantly written movies of all time (it's a toss up between this and 12 Angry Men). Everything about this script is so perfect in the way that everything feels complete in terms of just being a film in general but also a who-dunnit in general. Not to mention, this cast is so incredibly amazing that it just elevates every single aspect of this film. This movie legitimately had me in complete belief that Chris Evans was going to have a prosperous career after the MCU, but that's a tale for another time. I'm legitimately so grateful that I live in a time where modern who-dunnit films are still prosperous and can still be as absolute cinema as they are. You have no idea how bad I'm itching to see Wake Up Dead Man, like I need this injected into my bloodstream immediately or else I'm going to die.
