Pan's Labyrinth

This is the final movie that my parents are watching for the first time for my birthday weekend. In all honesty, this was definitely one of the better movies to end it on. My parents agree with that statement and said that if we ended with a movie like House, it would have been a bummer. That being said, this is still Guillermo del Toro's magnum opus to me. The beautiful blend of fantasy and historical fiction is something that he is so amazingly talented with. Also with the mix of the beautiful practical effects and the visual effects just give this movie an excellent boost on top of such a beautifully written story. Lastly, I was genuinely surprised by how much my parents like this movie, they're not really ones for fantasy movies. Especially with my dad because I was shocked when he said that this was probably his second favorite movie that we watched out of the six.
