Saw

I got to see this masterpiece in the theater. I’ve seen this movie literally like a thousand times, but in the theater, it felt like my first. Saw is one the greatest movies ever made. Everything about it is perfection. The script, the story, the acting, the score, the cinematography, the horror, the traps, the settings, the costumes, the casting, the sound, the editing. EVERYTHING IS PERFECT. This is the GREATEST movie franchise of all time. James Wan is undoubtedly the GREATEST director of the 21st century. To have this as your directorial debut is truly the best thing to ever happen to someone. James Wan and Leigh Whanell are legitimately my heroes. Leigh’s writing and James’s directing are what drives me to be a filmmaker. Saw is one of the reasons why I’m here where I am today. Whenever I feel like my work is shit and feel like I’m not cut out for this workspace. I look at the two guys from down under and reflect on what they accomplished. I really hope one day I get the chance to meet one/both of them so I can thank you for being them and for giving the world their story.
