Titanic
To this day, I don't think any other movie has been made past Titanic that is this grand and awe-inspiring from a practical filmmaking standpoint. It's so crazy to think that this comes from the guy whose success was previously doing science fiction films about aliens and Androids, James Cameron is truly one of a kind. What we get in Titanic in the first half is a very beautiful and amazing love story, and what we get in the second half is an emotionally-packed, overwhelming disaster film that leaves you filled with so much emotion and tears. On top of its amazing practical sets and design, I legitimately forgot how sacked this cast was. Obviously, I remember Kathy Bates being it but I forgot how amazing she is in how little her supporting role is. Not to mention, Bill Paxton is so incredible with what even smaller screentime he has. Lastly, I don't need to say anything else about the performances from Leonardo Dicaprio and Kate Winslet that hasn't already been said as they are both absolutely breathtaking in this film. This will forever be Kate Winslet's magnum opus and this is the hottest that a young Leo has ever looked.
