ParasiteBen Lossie10.0· July 31, 2024Follow9,7/10 This movie is the definition of a good thriller. From the beginning to the end it’s thrilling and entertaining. There’s not one second where this movie was boring. I love how this movie kind of had 2 different plots. The first one being the Kim family getting employed in the rich and wealthy park family. “Kevin” takes over an English tutor class from his friend, using a fake certificate, posing as a university student. After the try out lesson, he meets Da-Song, the youngest kid of Mr and Mrs. Park. Mrs Park explains that he has problems after being traumatized. “Kevin recommends Jessica, a classmate of his cousin who studied art psychology. In reality, Jessica was just Ki-Woo’s (Kevin’s) sister. After Jessica gets hired as Da-Songs art therapist, her and Kevin start sabotaging the parks family driver and later on they’re housewife, tricking Mrs. Park into firing them. The whole Kim family are now working for the Parks, without them knowing that they’re related. After the park family goes out on a camping trick the Kim family moves in their house for the weekend, where they discover a dark secret ”The second plot”. This discovery eventually escalating to a huge stabbing on Da-Songs birthday. I also really like that some really random things happen in this movie, just like it could in real life. The Kim’s house being flooded for example. Was it necessary for the plot? Not really Was it an awesome thing to add to the movie? Absolutely Parasite absolutely deserves all the hype it gets. Such a masterpiece.CommentsSign in to react and join the conversation.Sign inGet the appSee all Ben's reviews for Parasite (3)First watch8.0January 11, 2024Rewatch 110.0July 31, 2024Rewatch 29.9March 8, 2025
