Superman

My sweet good god. From the very first second to the last I was absolutely hooked and locked in. The visuals, the score, and the sheer volume of content is why. I don’t think this movie was overstuffed at all, in fact that’s what made it thrive. A gripe I had with Thunderbolts was that like three things happened in the whole movie. Superman had three plot points happen in the first 20 minutes or so. Not only that, but all of the story was actually not too hard to follow and made for a very compelling narrative. I thought the jokes were incredible and original, the action was entertaining, and the emotional beats hit like a truck. If I had any gripes, it would be that there was a lot of moments that felt like the end, and maybe that Krypto was slightly overused, but those are negated by just how enthralling the rest of the movie was. That was a kickass way to start the DCU movie universe.
