Aronofsky é um gênio e retrata muito bem todo lado perturbado do Max, ser em preto e branco colabora muito com a ambientação , mesmo não tendo sido pensado, filme é curto, mas o ritmo é sensacional, e é incrível estar dentro da mente dele até o seu limite físico e mental.
