Sentimental Value

Generational trauma is a very complex thing (at least to me) to be dissected. Here, Joachim Trier almost tortured me as a gen Z (who still not completely used to slow-burns) with the slow pace of the film. But it was very rewarding to watch it until the end. A very difficult and dark topic has been delivered carefully. Thank God I watched it in the cinema, I couldn’t enjoy the one-sitting view if I watch it at home alone.
