My creative journey in life has been leading me to this moment where I experience this film for the first time. I am madly in love with this piece of art, it’s plot, the cinematography, and editing style. BUT don’t take it too seriously! It’s a fantasy-horror-comedy masterpiece.
The special effects are as inspiring as the northern lights. The climax and end credit special effects and animations are truly incredible.
I loved the story. It’s so eerie yet comical. Due to the nature of it being a foreign film, it may be difficult for some to follow, but with some focus, I think anything he could come to appreciate its accomplishments.
The house girls are infinitely intertwined with the likes of the goonies, the losers club (it), the castle rock gang (stand by me), and Charlie’s Angels. The cat is amazing! The aunt and her story is such a fantastic horror development.
Is this the greatest horror-comedies of all time? No, but it ranks high for me! It’s not the shining example for a great horror film, but it sets the bar high for the most unique horror films and genres.
