Detachment
*and never have i felt so deeply at one and the same time so detached from myself and so present in the world

shoutout to my fav english teachers tbh
most of my letterboxd reviews are smth silly or goofy, but this film means something else to me. i have too many things to say, so i fear this is gonna be a ramble on all of my thoughts regarding this film.

you may see me, but i’m hollow*
i love this film so much, i know i call every film like this relatable but i actually mean it with this one, it really captures how chaotic it is to feel alone
ily adrien brody sad films, u gotta be my favourite genre
also theres so much to say about this film, but one of the things that really sticks with me are all the shots through merideth’s lens- they show how you can be so focused and so zoomed in on every detail around you, but then she zooms out and you realise how far away she actually is, how detached she is and how detached her subject is from his own world
