Heat

Spoilers What do you get when you have 3 of the greatest actors of a generation and one of the most stacked supporting casts in history? You get Heat by Michael Mann. Running almost 3 hours heat doesn't use action to keep you compelled it has only 4 action scenes in the whole movie, but it has the tension and is able to build througj amazing character work. One scene I would like to point out is the Pacino and De Niro restaurant scene. This scene is more than just the characters Vincent and McCauley meeting it is like Pacino and De Niro talking face to face two men who had their careers so intertwined, but never seeing the screen at the same time. These two characters are so good together especially in that last sequence where McCauley kills Waingroth and then the chase scene with Pacino that is amazing cinematically plus the way De Niro just can't let Waingroth go in facial emotions earlier. Lastly, The ending hits insanely hard with a final showdown that isn't some big fight, but it's a battle of dark and light with Pacino(Vincent) winning the battle. >
