Lady Bird

“what if this is the best version?” i would like to apologise to miss gerwig for criminally underrating Lady Bird the first time around - i initially wrote about not connecting to the film because my relationships and experiences were so different to what i saw on screen, but i'm now realising that i was clouded by high expectations because that doesn't matter in the slightest. greta has an undeniable talent for crafting compelling characters and turning otherwise mundane 'slice of life' style moments into something that is endlessly entertaining, and this rewatch has really solidified just how great of a storyteller she is.
