I know this is a slow-burn classic, the tension, the atmosphere, the iconic ending, but I think I was just too sleepy to fully feel it. That one’s on me. I usually like detective thrillers, but I couldn’t lock into the buildup this time. That said, it’s clearly a great film. The direction, tone and payoff are all top tier. But honestly, the plot felt kinda predictable. Or maybe I’ve just seen too many spoilers over the years. I’ll probably rewatch it someday with a clearer mind, and it deserves that. : l
