this is honestly my 30th rewatch but one thing that has got me thinking is honestly Trevante Rhodes performance. I rewatched an interview with Barry Jenkins the other day and it honestly surprised me that he was seconding guessing himself about choosing Trevante to play adult Chiron. Honestly, for me personally, he is what really ties the film the together in a perfect. Right down to his facial expressions.
