Aftersun

Despite its fairly simple plot, it’s really a remarkably ambitious film. The viewer is steeped in such a deeply personal and metaphysical story, but in a way that’s not even remotely difficult to understand. “Under Pressure” was a bit on the nose, but the rest of the soundtrack and score was pretty fantastic, definitely went above and beyond your average film. Overall it meanders at points, but it sure does stick the landing.
