A beautiful film about identity, adolescence, and the urge to fit in with the older and “cool” kids. As an eldest daughter, I deeply understood every emotion Tekehentahkhwa was feeling throughout the events. I also felt like this movie educated me about the possible events that were happening during that time. My idea of Canada is peacefulness, so I never assumed there was any discrimination at any point. I feel like I’ve also been into political movies given the events we’re witnessing right now. The casting is honestly authentic, casting actual Mohawk actors just makes sense. The acting was honestly a bit rusty, but it was still a decent movie overall and worth the watch.
