Lady Bird
It took me about two days to finish this movie because of my busy schedule, but honestly, it’s truly a beautiful movie. The way it portrayed Ladybird’s relationship with her mom resonated deeply with me, even if I may not have personally experienced the situations themselves. I felt a strong connection to the nature of their relationship. We all have times when we rebel and assume that our moms hate us unconditionally, when all they’ve been doing is looking out for us. In my opinion, this is a coming of age movie, and it stirred up a lot of emotions in me, making me cry a bit, to be honest. It was a truly perfect movie, and I realized that I now prefer Greta Gerwig’s movies more than Coppola’s because they delve deeper into the experiences of girlhood, providing a more comprehensive and authentic portrayal. I don’t know how to explain it better than that.
