The Menu
“Eat the rich preferably after a wine pairing.”
This was Top Chef: Nihilist Edition, and I ate it up.
Ralph Fiennes is serving god-tier menace on a plate, and Anya Taylor-Joy is the only person at that table with seasoning. Dark, weird, and hilarious in that “oh god I’ve worked in service” kind of way.
The whole thing plays like an anxiety dream about fine dining where the chef knows your sins and the bread comes without bread.
Loved the satire. Loved the fire.
Loved that they turned a cheeseburger into an emotional weapon.
