holy shit, this was so fire?? the pacing was consistent the entire time, and I loved how much it leaned into the historical context!! how it acknowledged the power dynamics and just the ugliness of slavery. heavy action movies like this usually bore me, but this didn’t at all. some parts were way too violent for my liking, but it was still really good!! i do think they dragged it out a bit for theatrics, though. it added like 40 extra minutes just to reach the same outcome. still, the dialogue was intense but realistic for the time. overall, this was really good. IM glad stephen died 🧘‍♀️ he needed to go
