holy fuck!!! i have genuinely never seen anything like this in media before, some of the coolest, craziest world building i’ve ever seen. cel animation mixed with early, somewhat ugly cg reminiscent of low-poly remastered games, so it still has quite a bit of charm within it’s clunkiness. reminded me of the few cutscenes in fallout 2. deep political atmosphere with complex characters and glamorous robot design!! otherworldly tone setting with badass transitions. laughed a lot but in a child-like glee kind of way. new orleans jazz soundtrack, a lil bit of ray charles, elegantly mixed with classical music, what more could you ask for?!?!?
