Now this is what I’m fucking talking about. Dialogue is kept to the absolute minimum and fights actually feel like they’re from the game.

**Watched in preparation for [Mortal Kombat 2](https://boxd.it/ehuNgx) tonight.** I vaguely remember watching Mortal Kombat (1995) when I was a kid. My dad loved martial arts movies so we often watched them together. I don't actually know if the original MK movie is much of a martial arts movie but I do remember enjoying it. Probably cause of all of the silly shit in thje movie. This itteration of MK also has *some* silly shit. But unfortunately not enough. It's not enough to have characters say "flawless victory" and "fatality". There is a dude who grew metal arms and an australian who shoots lasers from his eyes. Embrace the goofiness.
