Hereditary
This is the best showcase of grief ever put to film
Toni as Annie is one of my favorite performances ever in a film
The car sequence is one of the scariest things I’ve ever seen in a film
This is a perfect movie, if you only watch one horror movie in your life; make it this film. The direction by Ari Aster and the set design and cinematography of this film are masterful, it may not be the most original film ever made but it’s the only film ever made to make me go through this range of emotions in two hours.
This movie makes me laugh, and cry.
It puts me in shock and makes me hysterical.
My favorite “heated discussion” ever put to film is the table sequence in this film: once you get to the 40 minute mark this movie is dreadful in the best way nonstop for the remaining hour and 27 minutes. It’s a horrifying masterpiece
If you forced me to say a flaw it would be two nitpicks
CGI flys
Peter’s crying at times gives off takes it was done in one take and they didn’t have time to go again, it feels like he is mocking someone who is crying
That
Is
It
Every Frame
Every line
Every moment with Toni Collette on screen
Perfect
