A Perfect Horror Mystery, walked out of this a few months back in awe and I’m happy to report back that it is even better on Rewatch! I need to have one more watch of the lot but I’m genuinely lost on what is my favorite Horror Film of the year between Weapons, Sinners, and Bring Her Back. This has been a fantastic year for horror!
Amy Madigan gives a Career Redefining Performance and is electrifying as Gladys, hands down my favorite Horror Antagonist of the year and as of now my lock for Best Supporting Actress in Film at the next Oscars. This was a fantastic ensemble cast, everyone is fully realized and performed to the best possible level. Standouts, outside of Madigan are
- Cary Christopher as Alex
- Julia Garner as Justine
- Josh Brolin as Archer
- Austin Abrahms as James
Seeing this in 4Dx was the perfect format and way I could have seen the film, if anything I regret not seeing it in theaters again and again. I fucking love this movie and cannot wait to showcase it to anyone who’d watch with me/ anyone asking what the fuck I am supposed to be for Halloween.
