Thunderbolts*
As someone who struggles with mental health and feels alone , like nobody will protect me or be there for me , like bob. Also feeling empty inside , searching for purpose like Yelena, and wanting those feelings to go away. This movie hits differently for me. I find parts of each of these characters super relatable. Upon rewatch, I still feel the same watching this film. The characters are incredibly relatable in their struggles. The chemistry is just palpable; a group of throwaway misfits who somehow find a way to work together. This film is also so hilarious , even on rewatch. Comedically, Alexi and John are the standouts for me. The action is just chef's kiss; the scene when they are all trying to kill each other is so good, and Bucky on the highway, rolling up on a motorcycle and taking guys out oh hell yes, that's awesome. Also, Bucky is such a great leader. The heart-to-heart between Yelena and Alexi gets me every time . I also enjoy that the final battle is more of a mind game with amazing visuals and dialogue versus a giant CGI battle. They kept joking about how they just punch and shoot, and I love that they didn't have to punch and shoot to defeat the void, as they could only defeat him the way they did. I love this team and this movie so much. It really does make me feel "so full, so filled."
