now this is how you introduce a new team into the mcu, everything about this film is just perfection from the classic marvel title card & music fading into darkness at the beginning which really sets the darker emotionally charged tone so well to how the film takes a group of mis-fit characters who hadn’t even had much attention or interactions before hand yet still manages to create such an authentic and amazingly done team dynamic through them bonding over their collective trauma and overcoming obstacles together. which btw this film also did an amazing job at making me love each of the characters, especially ava and bob as I already love bucky and yelena (florence pugh’s performance ate down and really made be feel for her character throughout the whole film (sobbed). and the score??? INCREDIBLE. for sure one of if not my fav in a marvel movie, the way it just captures the vibe of the film so well and does a brilliant job at elevating the emotions in every scene. son lux really did their big one w that score. especially “first flight” & “it’s bucky!” which i feel like capture the film so well and just give you a sense of hope while also giving me complete chills. lastly i absolutely love how the film finished with the credits showing in world news articles of the general public’s reaction to the announcement of the new avengers. AND one more thing, that post credit scene?!? i’m so glad the mcu films are back to being interconnected with a central narrative and this makes me so hyped to see where the new avengers story goes in avengers: doomsday (lowkey nervous) + why the fantastic 4 ship traveled to earth 616. one of the best marvel movies, 10/10
