The Batman
THIS IS SO GOOD OH MY GOD.
I honestly wasnt expecting much, most Batman films catering to an audience of boring men but this, THIS was amazing, I love the color theme, though i think only using yellow for Batman and then nothing else for the rest of the key themes and characters was a bit of a waste it can be over looked.
The music was beautifully done, even at the start of the movie I noticed how well the sountrack was done, music and sound were a key part in this movie, definetly the main mood setter. Robert Pattinson played Batman amazingly, the way he played Bruce pretty much screamed autistic to me, it felt like the unsaid representation I have been yearning for- wonderful, really, I could write papers upon papers about how he really is the best autistic rep in this world of bs and superheroes.
My only quarrel with this film being Cat Woman and Batmans forced romance, another also perfect, example of amazing films going too far with the "superhero template" or the "Winning Man Template", this idea, a toxic concept, that in order to have "success" or be the "winner" in a story- or life, You. Have. To. Get. The. Girl. This is the downside to this movie, the romance doesn't fit the overall feeling of the movie or goals that our MC wants to achieve, it breaks the immersion, goes out of character for both of them as well. "But if they didn't like each other whatotive would they have to save each other those bundle of times?" You ask, well, my friend, theres this bloody amazing thing called friendship, dunno if you've heard of it. In the end I am overjoyed at Batmans refusal to join Cat Woman.
Overall, lovely movie, will definetly be watching this again and will be expecting more of Robert-Batman in the future.
