Squid Game

SEASON 2 Started off strong with an exceptional opening episode, but ultimately didn’t quite reach the heights of the first season the more the narrative progressed. Don’t get me wrong there were lots of cool moments throughout, especially with the introduction of new games and the fascinating villain dynamic…. However I found large parts of episodes to be offering too little and not moving along the plot at an engaging enough pace, particularly the stuff within the games themselves. The way the finale played out I was not a fan of at all, turning something unique and psychological into a generic spoiler we’ve seen 1000 times before. There’s still plenty to be excited about with the next season and I’ll be eagerly awaiting its continuation, but I’d be lying if I said this wasn’t somewhat of a disappointment in many areas.
