Waves

Erm yeah this is now 100% cemented as one of my favourite films ever made. It is indescribable the levels of emotion this makes me feel. Some of the most impressive camera movement and use of sound this century. Every single performance, moment, line of dialogue. The colours. The dynamic aspect ratios in sync with the character’s psyche. The way it’s two monumental films in one. I’m a mess. Inconsolable. This is pure art. Pure love, sadness, pain and hope. The entire spectrum of human feelings.  Welcome to the top 5. Certified contemporary masterpiece. ❤️
