If there’s one director I can trust with writing a lesbian asian film, it’s Alice Wu. More than just a queer romance, it tackles the issue of trying to “save face” for your family—trying to be the perfect daughter.
Overall, It’s a love story between a mother and daughter as they navigate the different struggles they share individually. I’m happy that Wil and Vivian got their happy ending.
